Job summary

Williams Companies in Pittsburgh is seeking a Senior Engineer to conduct technical and economic evaluations, performance testing, and design/construction of facilities in the natural gas or petrochemical sectors. You will apply your deep industry knowledge and lead projects with initiative.

You will deliver presentations, support customer requirements, ensure safety and cost controls, and potentially supervise others. A PE license and ABET degree are preferred; hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or Engineering Technology with PE license.
• Minimum eight (8) years of multifaceted engineering experience in natural gas or petrochemical industries.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal skills; safety is a top priority.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical and economic evaluations for projects.
• Perform performance testing and design/construction of facilities.
• Research new developments and apply industry requirements.
• Prepare and deliver presentations for stakeholders.
• Anticipate customer needs and identify solutions; supervise others when needed.
• Ensure compliance, improve processes, and manage costs and resources.
• Champion safety standards and blueprints for training needs.

As an Engineer Sr., you will conduct technical and economic evaluations, performance testing, design and construction of new and existing facilities, and research on new developments, applying your strong understanding of industry and operational requirements. Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Accounts for a diverse range of sophisticated assignments requiring the use of experience, innovation and judgment
• May supervise the work of others
• Demonstrates technical expertise in a specialty, geographic area, or operational function and applies specialized knowledge in the effective completion of large-scope projects
• Prepares and delivers presentations
• Anticipates internal/external customer needs; assesses requirements and identifies solutions
• Interprets internal/external business challenges and improves products, processes or services
• Collaborates with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needs
• Champions processes, procedures and safety standards
• Monitors and controls costs and resources associated with projects
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

Required: Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license; and a minimum eight (8) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry

Other Requirements:

• Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
• Proficiency in engineering specialties covering more than one subject area
• Preferred: Project Management experience
