Short Description

Bowman has an opportunity for an Engineer III, Electrical (Oil & Gas) to join our team in Houston, TX.

Purpose

Hold a senior-level position, responsible for providing strategic guidance, technical oversight, and innovation in electrical engineering projects. Lead the design, planning, and execution of large‑scale electrical systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and driving excellence in engineering deliverables.

  • Perform equipment sizing and selection, alternative analyses and other deliverables.
  • Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
  • Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross‑functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements.
  • Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule.
  • Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
  • Prepare, review, and approve electrical equipment, conduit, and wiring calculations, requisitions, lists, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Four to seven (4-7) years of relevant industry‑related experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in electrical engineering software and tools.
  • Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • In‑depth understanding of power distribution, control systems and electrical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to develop and implement electrical engineering standards and guidelines.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills – written and verbal.
  • High level of personal integrity.
  • Strong relationship capabilities.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
