Job summary

The Ashton in Fort Worth is seeking a maintenance technician to support our historic boutique hotel. You will respond to service calls, complete work orders, and perform routine HVAC, electrical and plumbing tasks while ensuring a high standard of guest comfort.

Ideal candidates have hotel maintenance experience, relevant vocational training, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time role located at The Ashton in Fort Worth, TX.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Vocational training, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more area; or 3 years' related experience.
• Understanding and operation of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems is a plus.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High work ethic and self-initiative.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all service calls within a half hour of receipt.
• Accurately and efficiently complete all assigned work orders daily; inform supervisor of incomplete orders for rescheduling.
• Efficiently adjust televisions and program boxes.
• Change light bulbs and ballasts as soon as reported or noticed.
• Replace air filters on AC units regularly.
• Repair vacuum cleaners and return them to service within two days.
• Clean up grounds, garages and parking lots.

What you will be doing
