Job summary

The Ashton, a historic boutique hotel in downtown Fort Worth, seeks a skilled maintenance technician to respond to service calls, perform preventive maintenance, and repair equipment across electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Ideal candidates have vocational training or 3 years of related experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance or facilities is required.
• Strong electrical, plumbing and basic refrigeration knowledge.
• HVAC knowledge is a plus and helpful for day-to-day tasks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls within a short response time.
• Complete work orders accurately and inform supervisor of incomplete orders.
• Adjust televisions and program boxes where needed.
• Replace light bulbs and ballasts as soon as reported.
• Replace air filters on AC units regularly.
• Repair vacuum cleaners and return to service within two days.
• Clean grounds, garages and parking areas.

Job Description

What you will be doing

• Respond to all service calls within half hour from time call is received.
• Accurately and efficiently complete all assigned work orders on a daily basis. Inform supervisor of any incomplete orders for rescheduling.
• Efficiently adjust televisions and program boxes.
• Change light bulbs and ballasts as soon as reported or noticed.
• Efficiently replace air filters on AC units on a regular basis.
• Accurately and efficiently repair vacuum cleaners, returning them to service within two (2) days.
• Clean up grounds, garages and parking lots.

Requirements

What we are looking for

• Previous hotel Maintenance experience required, including electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction. HVAC is a plus
• Vocational training, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more area; or 3 years' of related experience
• Understand and efficiently maintain and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems is a +
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• High work ethic and self-initiative
