Job summary

Remington Hotels Careers is seeking a hotel maintenance technician to respond to service calls, perform routine repairs, adjust TVs, replace bulbs, and maintain HVAC-related systems. The role requires hands-on experience across electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance with a proactive approach to safety and guest service.

Ideal candidates will have vocational training or apprenticeships, or at least three years of related experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Hotel maintenance experience including electrical, plumbing, and building construction.
• HVAC experience is a plus.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship or 3 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls within 30 minutes from time of receipt.
• Complete all assigned work orders daily; inform supervisor of incomplete orders.
• Adjust televisions and program boxes.
• Change light bulbs and ballasts as reported or noticed.
• Replace air filters on AC units on a regular basis.
• Repair vacuum cleaners and return to service within two days.
• Clean up grounds, garages and parking lots.

What you will be doing

• Respond to all service calls within half hour from time call is received.
• Accurately and efficiently complete all assigned work orders on a daily basis. Inform supervisor of any incomplete orders for rescheduling.
• Efficiently adjust televisions and program boxes.
• Change light bulbs and ballasts as soon as reported or noticed.
• Efficiently replace air filters on AC units on a regular basis.
• Accurately and efficiently repair vacuum cleaners, returning them to service within two (2) days.
• Clean up grounds, garages and parking lots.

What we are looking for

• Previous hotel Maintenance experience required, including electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction. HVAC is a plus
• Vocational training, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more area; or 3 years' of related experience
• Understand and efficiently maintain and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems is a +
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• High work ethic and self-initiative
