Job summary

King County is seeking an Engineer II, Systems Engineering and Reporting Analyst in a Special Duty Assignment to turn data from business and operational systems into meaningful metrics across multiple wastewater facilities. You will map connections, create data flow diagrams, and develop KPIs in Power BI to monitor asset management and maintenance.

You will also help formalize GoPlant support processes and collaborate on metrics for workload and cybersecurity across the Systems Engineering Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data.
• Experience with technical or operational processes in support roles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and quick learning of new systems.
• Ability to document procedures and communicate with staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Map and document how WTD's business and operational systems connect and exchange data, developing interface control documents and data flow diagrams.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards in Power BI to track asset management, maintenance, and operational performance.
• Design structured support processes for GoPlant and other systems, including documentation and data QA/QC.
• Collaborate to track team tasks and cybersecurity work, building metrics and reports on workload and performance.
