Job summary

King County Water and Land Resources Division -WA is seeking an Engineer II, Systems Engineering and Reporting Analyst for a Special Duty Assignment in the Wastewater Treatment Division. You will map data flows between Maximo, GoPlant, AVEVA PI, and AQI WIMS, and build reliable metrics and KPIs.

You will develop Power BI dashboards, document processes, and support GoPlant with structured procedures and data quality controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physical science, data analytics or information systems, or equivalent experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting quantitative data
• Experience understanding technical or operational processes supporting teams
• Proficiency with Excel or similar tools and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Ability to create clear written documentation and communicate with staff at all levels

Responsibilities

• Map and document how WTD systems connect and exchange data, creating interface control docs and data flow diagrams
• Help develop KPIs and dashboards in Power BI to track asset management, maintenance, and operations
• Formalize structured support processes for GoPlant and other business systems, including procedures and data QA/QC
• Collaborate with the team to track tasks, requests, and cybersecurity-related work, building related metrics and reports
