Job summary

H.F. Lenz Company seeks a registered Project Manager with HVAC/MEP system design expertise. You will lead building system engineering for mechanical/HVAC, coordinating with Principals in Charge and engineering teams across educational and commercial markets.

The role involves scheduling, cost estimation, review of project documents, and site observations. Travel to project sites is required, with potential overnight assignments.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of HVAC/Mechanical building system design or facilities engineering.
• AutoCAD experience required; Revit experience preferred.
• Strong communication and deadline-oriented with ability to lead.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Principals in Charge on project scheduling, cost estimates, project scopes and deadlines.
• HVAC design and coordination of MEP engineering production with staff, contractors and clients.
• Review and approve project documents, modifications and changes for quality.
• Collaborate with and mentor engineering staff throughout design process.
• Conduct job site observations, surveys and inspections.
• Travel to project sites; some overnight travel may be expected.

H.F. Lenz Company is seeking a registered, Project Manager experienced in MEP building system design. This position will work directly with a nationally recognized team of Principals in Charge and engineering professionals. This role will lead the building system engineering of mechanical and HVAC systems, including project management functions for a diverse project and client portfolio in the educational and commercial markets.
