Job summary

H.F. Lenz Company is seeking a registered Project Manager with experience in MEP building system design to lead HVAC and mechanical design efforts across educational and commercial markets.

The role collaborates with Principals in Charge and engineering professionals and may be based at the Johnstown, PA headquarters. The position emphasizes project scheduling, cost estimates, and client coordination, with responsibilities spanning design, production coordination, and site observations.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC/Mechanical building system design or facilities engineering.
• FE/EIT Certification is highly preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD is required; Revit software experience is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in project and personnel management is required.
• MEP design experience in various commercial markets is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and provide outstanding service to clients.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects.
• Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Principals in Charge on project scheduling, cost estimates, project scopes and deadlines.
• Responsible for HVAC design, coordinating MEP engineering design production to meet desired service, quality and effectiveness between engineering staff, contractors and clients.
• Review and approve project documents, modifications and changes for quality and accuracy.

• Conduct job site observations, surveys and inspections as necessary.
• Travel to project sites is required; some overnight travel may be expected.

H.F. Lenz Company is seeking a registered, Project Manager experienced in MEP building system design. This position will work directly with a nationally recognized team of Principals in Charge and engineering professionals. This role will lead the building system engineering of mechanical and HVAC systems, including project management functions for a diverse project and client portfolio in the educational and commercial markets.
