Job summary

Peppermill Resort Spa Casino is seeking an Engineer II to help maintain and repair the property’s systems and equipment. The role focuses on kitchen equipment, air conditioning units, and general casino repairs, with emphasis on reliability and safety.

You will establish maintenance schedules, respond to management requests, and ensure safe operations by identifying hazards and reporting unsafe conditions. The position requires practical mechanical skills and the ability to work around utilities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school equivalent preferred.
• Experience in basic plumbing, electrical, and metal fabrication preferred.
• Clean DMV record.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs.

Job description

The Engineer II is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of the property.

Duties:

• Maintain and repair kitchen equipment and air conditioner units.

• Ensure the reliability of back up equipment for emergency use.

• Complete all general casino repairs.

• Equipment installation.

• Establish and follow effective maintenance schedules.

• Respond promptly to the needs of management and the property.

• Maintain a constant awareness of safety problems and report unsafe conditions and exposure to management.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school equivalent preferred.

  • Experience in basic plumbing, electrical, and metal fabrication preferred.

• Clean DMV Record.

• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

• Ability to troubleshoot and complete minor repairs as needed.

• Ability to perform minor demolition projects.

• Ability to work around electrical, water and gas feed lines.

• Ability to work with the following physical demands:

  • Stand, walk and bend for long periods of time.

  • Be able to consistently lift 50 pounds.

  • Ability to climb ladders.

  • Ability to work in elevations.

  • Ability to maneuver safely on the catwalk.
