Job summary

Description

Summary: Maintains building by independently making high level and complex repairs. Also, by performing preventative maintenance tasks/projects throughout the casino in more than one trade discipline that may include but not be limited to landscaping, carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical and kitchen equipment. Assists in training lower level engineers and those with different skill sets.

Essential Job Functions:

  • All job functions shall be performed in a safe, neat and workmanlike manner.
  • Uses appropriate hand and power tools to build, repair, refurbish and maintain building components, fixtures, furniture, etc.
  • Maintains clean and safe work areas.
  • Keeps maintenance logs
  • Documents completion of work orders.
  • Responds to guest and co-workers maintenance requests and inquiries in accordance with established performance, safety and guest service standards.
  • Leads and directs the team when a manager is not available.
  • Guides lower level Engineers assisting with complex projects and tasks, ensuring quality of work.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent or technical training/certification if required by law.
  • Four or more years related experience in one or more trade disciplines.
  • Advanced knowledge of building systems technology required.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
  • Must possess a current valid driver’s license.
  • Driving record must meet driver eligibility requirements of Rivers Casino’s insurance policy.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Regularly required to see, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must occasionally lift and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
