Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Research Engineer to support research projects under guidance from senior staff. You will assist with experiments, data collection, and analysis while helping to develop new technologies and processes. Fort Novosel, AL onsite work is required.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain, maintain, and access classified information at the Secret level.
  • Proficient in Python and Linux for research tasks.
  • Experience with Raspberry Pi hardware and related projects.
  • Experience with patient evacuation testing and research is a plus.
  • Onsite work required at Fort Novosel, AL.

SUMMARY

The Research Engineer is an entry-level position in the field of research and development. They work under the guidance of senior researchers or engineers to support research projects, conduct experiments, and analyze data. They contribute to the development of new technologies, products, or processes.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS


  • The ability to obtain, maintain, and access classified information at the Secret level.

  • Coding knowledge - Python, Linux.

  • Raspberry Pi-Focused

  • Any experience working with patient evacuation testing and research

  • Onsite 5 days a week at Fort Novosel, AL.

  • Stays updated with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and zero to two (0-2) years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
