Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality, a leading hospitality management company with a portfolio of hotels and resorts across the United States, Caribbean, and Europe, is hiring an Engineer I for Sunseeker Resort Florida Gulf Coast. This entry‑level role supports daily operations on the second shift (3 PM–11:30 PM), performing maintenance tasks and completing work orders to keep the property in peak condition.

You will use diagnostic tools and read blueprints to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a resort setting preferred.
• HVAC experience preferred.
• Combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders.
• Walk daily routes and make necessary repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools such as amp meters, voltmeters, OHM meters, gauges.
• Read blueprints and schematics to interpret guidelines for equipment operation.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair equipment and facilities fixtures.
• Communicate effectively in English in written and verbal forms.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

About Our Property

Sunseeker Resort Florida Gulf Coast, by Curio is a stunning waterfront destination located in Southwest Florida, offering the perfect blend of luxury and leisure. What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do

The Engineer I is responsible for the daily operations and activities which they have been assigned and provide administrative and technical support as directed by department management. Engineer I is an entry level position with general knowledge of maintenance. THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT POSTION (3PM - 11:30PM). All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resort policies, practices, and procedures.

Position Responsibilities/Duties

• Complete work orders
• Walk daily routes and make necessary repairs
• Perform other job-related duties as requested
• Able to use diagnostic tools, such as but not limited to: Amp Meters, Voltmeters, OHM meters, compound gauges and pressure gauges etc.
• Able to work from blueprints and schematics, and interpret manufactures guidelines for the operation and maintenance of related equipment
• Knowledgeable of hand and power tools
• Proficient at inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing equipment and facilities fixtures, furnishings, and equipment
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
• Maintain a professional, neat, and well‑groomed appearance adhering to company standards
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

Education & Experience

Required:

• minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in a resort setting preferred
• HVAC Experience preferred
• Combination of education and experience will be considered

• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
