Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an Engineer I for Sunseeker Resort Florida Gulf Coast, a luxury waterfront property in Southwest Florida. This entry‑level role supports daily operations and maintenance activities, with a 3PM–11:30PM second shift.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, performing repairs, and interpreting blueprints and manufacturer guidelines. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a resort setting and HVAC experience preferred.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Engineer I is responsible for the daily operations and activities which they have been assigned and provide administrative and technical support as directed by department management. Engineer I is an entry level position with general knowledge of maintenance. THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT POSTION (3PM - 11:30PM). All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resort policies, practices, and procedures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Complete work orders
• Walk daily routes and make necessary repairs
• Perform other job-related duties as requested
• Able to use diagnostic tools, such as but not limited to: Amp Meters, Voltmeters, OHM meters, compound gauges and pressure gauges etc.
• Able to work from blueprints and schematics, and interpret manufactures guidelines for the operation and maintenance of related equipment
• Knowledgeable of hand and power tools
• Proficient at inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing equipment and facilities fixtures, furnishings, and equipment
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
• Maintain a professional, neat, and well‑groomed appearance adhering to company standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

What are we looking for?

• Required: minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in a resort setting preferred HVAC Experience preferred Combination of education and experience will be considered

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
• Must possess mature personal discretion and sound judgment
• Strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, superior problem solving and decision‑making skills
• Excellent organizational, analytical and project management skills, with particular attention to quality and detail
• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
