Microchip Technology Inc. in Beverly, Massachusetts is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure raw material quality from suppliers. This role involves managing audits, conducting surveys, and addressing quality issues at both the Beverly and Tozer sites.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field and preferably 1-2 years of manufacturing or quality engineering experience. Strong problem-solving and detail-oriented skills are essential for this position.
The Supplier Quality Engineering team is responsible for driving the quality of the raw materials and components from our suppliers worldwide. This includes managing supplier risk through Quality Management System (QMS) certification and/or surveys, leading and supporting supplier QMS based audits, supporting external audits related to supplier management, and driving suppliers to use robust root cause/failure analysis techniques and implement systemic corrective actions to address any quality issues that arise from our manufacturing sites.
This position is 100% on-site and will directly support two Microchip manufacturing sites located in Beverly, Massachusetts. The role is based at the Brimbal Beverly site, with occasional travel to Tozer Beverly site (~1 mile) and Lawrence, Massachusetts site (~20 miles) to interact with other Supplier Quality Engineering team members.

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $70,304 - $143,000. Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
