Job summary

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking an Engineer to join our Construction team in Basin, Wyoming. You will assist from planning and design through construction and final contract completion, under the Resident Engineer, gaining hands-on experience in a meaningful infrastructure role.

Responsibilities include field inspections, quantity calculations for contractor payments, and reviewing plans for compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (required).
• 0-2 years of progressive work experience in Engineering.
• Board of Engineering registration may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections, surveys, laboratory testing, material analysis, and quality control.
• Develop engineering models, conduct studies, and prepare reports and estimates.
• Review work of engineering technicians and ensure conformance to plans and specs.
• Coordinate with contractors, agencies, and the public during projects.
