UEC is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to support power plant upgrades and new projects. You will perform engineering and design activities under senior supervision and apply standard methods to evaluations and designs.

You will assist with calculations, modifications, and design development, collaborate with project teams, and help improve plant performance, safety, and reliability. Willingness to travel to client sites and work in field and office environments is required.

Qualificações

• BS degree in civil (structural) engineering from an accredited program.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry codes including ACI, AISC, and ASCE 7 through academic record or work experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing engineering and design activities for power plant upgrades and new power plant projects under senior engineering supervision.

• Collaborating with project teams to evaluate conditions and develop design changes to improve plant performance, safety, and reliability.

About You

The company is looking for candidates with:

• A BS degree in civil (structural) engineering from an accredited program.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry codes including ACI, AISC, and ASCE 7 through academic record or work experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability to understand and comply with company policies, procedures, and processes.
• Capability to pass security and drug screening and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Ability to travel to client sites and perform field and office work.
• Physical ability to perform equipment walk downs in industrial plant environments, including climbing ladders, accessing security-controlled areas, and entering confined and controlled hazardous spaces.
