Position Overview

The Engineer I - Civil is an entry-level position for professional engineering work, focused on developing foundational knowledge and skills. This individual performs assignments that apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria across a sequence of related tasks. They apply basic judgment in the application of established methods and in selecting among basic engineering alternatives, while building technical capability within the discipline. The Engineer I - Civil reports to the Department Manager, and is expected to demonstrate an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities and continues to grow in both knowledge and practical application. Required Qualifications

• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam – or is in the process of obtaining
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil)
• Ability to follow direction
• Willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to engineering project work through internships, coursework, or field experience
• Interest in pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
• Strong communication and organizational skills
