Job summary

RTX is seeking candidates for the Pratt & Whitney Engineering Development Program in East Hartford, CT. This onsite role focuses on materials and processes engineering, with rotations and opportunities to work on engine component development, analyses, testing, and process improvements.

You will participate in a multi-rotation program spanning 30 months, gaining hands-on experience in materials development, testing, and data-driven decision making in aerospace applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience with common materials characterization and test methods (mechanical testing, thermal analysis, spectroscopy, microscopy).
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for engine component, materials and/or chemical process development, analyses, testing and support for commercial and military engine applications.
• Perform mechanical testing, structural analysis or software tool development, materials and metallurgical/chemical analysis.
• Document data/results, prepare reports and presentations, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
