Job summary

Wencor -Provo UT is seeking an engineer to oversee all engineering and sourcing requirements for aftermarket aircraft parts, with a focus on reverse engineering, 3D CAD modeling, and FAA certification data packages. You will use precision measurement tools when needed and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

You will create 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings from dimensional reports and available data, generate reports, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience with reverse engineering and creating FAA data packages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design of commercial aircraft aftermarket parts by reverse engineering.
• If required incumbent may use standard measurement tools such as a micrometer or caliper to gather dimensional data.
• Create 3D CAD models and dimensional data reports from reverse engineering data.
• Create manufacturing drawings of aftermarket parts from dimensional reports, material analysis, and available technical data.
• Manage multiple reverse engineering projects simultaneously.
• Create reports and data packages to be submitted to the FAA for certification.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling, with Solid Works experience preferred.
