Job summary

Solé Miami is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our boutique hotel team on Sunny Isles Beach. You will own the preventative maintenance program for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related systems, ensuring operations run smoothly and safely.

The role requires 2–5 years of relevant experience, good communication, and the ability to read blueprints. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a premier hospitality company.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in commercial or institutional maintenance (preferred).
• HVAC, plumbing or electrical skills required.
• Light carpentry, painting, and wallpaper knowledge helpful.
• Certification in pool operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and routine inspections.
• Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Repair and service kitchen equipment and pumps.
• Maintain maintenance records and ensure compliance with codes.

A day in the life...

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be a part of the team responsible for ensuring facility systems and structures are maintained and in working order. We are looking for a new team member who will take ownership of the preventative maintenance program/HVAC to protect our beautiful hotel.

To be successful in the Maintenance Engineer position, you...

• make repairs to hotel air conditioning system: change filters, clean coils, replace motors.
• perform preventive maintenance on all equipment (i.e. boilers, chillers, HVAC-Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, electrical, etc.).
• take required readings on equipment.
• test cooling tower and record readings.
• replace and program televisions as needed.
• replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures.
• perform furniture repair.
• replace and repair pumps.
• perform plumbing repairs (i.e. clogged drains, copper pipe, change washers, change handles, drain fittings, etc).
• understand and be able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• trace and repair all types of water lines.
• troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• perform and maintain work to local, state and Federal codes.
• test, clean and repair swimming pools and spas.
• paint designated areas.
• repair and finish sheet rock.
• repair all types of wall coverings.
• repair and program hotel electronic lock system.
