POSITION LEVELS AND SALARY

Sr Level: $114,300 - $137,000

Sr Staff Level: $141,300 - $157,000

Ranges are per year based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Performs advanced engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses superior knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has excellent knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations. Functions with recognized industry-level of expertise in a technical area.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs advanced engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations.
  • Responsible for technical decisions and possesses superior knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application.
  • Conducts independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects.
  • Provides in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering activities related to plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability.
  • Ensures compliance with customer's needs, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
  • Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work.
  • Provides technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
  • Manages engineering issues and recommends improvements for performance and compliance.
  • Supports plant design modifications, testing, and problem solving.
  • Assures all engineering products are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and coordinates functional supervisory activities including personnel and budgetary accountabilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

For Senior E03 Engineer:

  • B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer and 5+ years engineering experience.

For Senior Staff E04 Engineer:

  • B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer and 8-10+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years of Power Plant, Industrial, or Manufacturing experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid performance rating for the last 2 years, meets all Engineer 2 and 3 criteria.
  • Recognized fleet or industry expert in knowledge and skill area or a Registered structural or professional engineer.
  • M.S. or PhD in engineering or physical science related to knowledge and skills area.
  • Site/Corporate leadership or industry leadership experience.
  • Interdepartmental experience.
