The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Vehicle Operations facility in York is our final assembly plant. Employees at York perform a variety of manufacturing operations, including fabrication, welding, polishing, painting, and produce a wide range of current and replacement parts for all models. Join our team as an Engineer Controls Manufacturing.

Job Summary

Develops and maintains advanced technical competence in Electrical Controls through benchmarking, analysis, project interaction, education, and development of strategic partnerships. Participates in designing and installing specifications along with commissioning plans. Guides and trains teams to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems. Defines, designs, develops, monitors, and refines an asset maintenance plan that includes preventive maintenance tasks. Provides technical support to production, maintenance management, and technical personnel.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate projects to enhance machine reliability, productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Establish measurable goals for equipment reliability and productivity; measure and communicate performance.
  • Participate in designing and implementing machinery reliability improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance and project assistance to staff and management.
Education and Experience Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience.
  • Proven experience in PLC logic and programming with PLCs such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE Fanuc, etc., and HMI/SCADA software like Wonderware, Rockwell, etc.
  • Experience reading and red-lining P&ID drawings, panel design, wiring schematics.
  • Preferred experience includes PHA, FMEA, CA, LCAM, OEE, TPM.
