The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Vehicle Operations facility in York is our final assembly plant. Employees at York also perform a variety of manufacturing operations, including fabrication, welding, polishing and painting and produce a wide range of current and replacement parts for all models. Join our team as a Engineer Controls Manufacturing - Onsite.

Job Summary

Develops and maintains advanced technical competence in the areas of Electrical Controls through benchmarking, analysis, project interaction, education and development of strategic partnerships. Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans. Guides and trains teams in efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety/security systems. Provides technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel

Job Responsibilities

• Designing and developing control systems and software to meet operational needs and project specifications.
• Conducting system analysis to evaluate functionality and identify areas for improvement.
• Provides troubleshooting of the Assembly system.
• Programming and configuring PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and other control interfaces to optimize performance.
• Maintain & optimize Assembly line performance via Automated Guided Carts.
• Collaborating with other engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure systems integration and operability.
• Testing and troubleshooting control components to ensure robustness and safety of the system.
• Maintaining and upgrading existing control systems to enhance efficiency and longevity.
• Providing support and training to other engineers and users on how to operate the newly implemented or modified systems.
• Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining documentation of procedures and configurations.

Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering Highly Preferred

• Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Must have proven experience in PLC logic and programming with any of the following PLC’s: Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE Fanuc, Siemens, Automation Direct, Mitsubishi, Omron, Aromat, Toshiba, ect: and HMI or SCADA programming configuration of any of the following software packages Wonderware, Rockwell, itellution, GE Cimplicity, CI Tech, Iconics, Siemens, US Data, etc.
• AB RSLogix 5000 controller, ladder logic, CIP messaging & system integrations are expected to know.
• System integration of equipment, Cobots & vision system to PLC program.
