Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to repair and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems. You will respond to emergencies such as fires, outages, gas or water leaks, and similar incidents while performing scheduled preventive maintenance.

The ideal candidate has a background in engineering, the ability to use hand and power tools, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Prior experience in a similar position preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk throughout shift.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and work in confined areas.
• Must be able to safely and effectively use hand and power tools.
• Must be able to carry and communicate by two-way radio.
• Must have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Physically respond to emergency situations such as fire, power outage, gas or water leak, or any other emergency situation or repair.
• Perform periodic maintenance to equipment and machinery as outlined in preventative maintenance schedules.
• Maintain building by performing repairs and maintenance to air conditioning, furnace, plumbing, electrical wiring and other related maintenance activities.
• Perform work assignments to complete renovation and remodeling projects.
• Possess knowledge in engineering field to accomplish assignments safely and correctly; generally attained through schooling and work experience.
• Carry and communicate by radio.
