Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and preventative maintenance across air conditioning, plumbing, electrical systems, and related equipment at our Las Vegas properties. You will respond to emergencies promptly and coordinate with team members to restore operations safely.

The ideal candidate has experience in an engineering or facilities role, ability to work in confined spaces, and strong communication skills to carry out radio communications

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Prior experience in a similar maintenance/engineering role preferred.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods and work in confined spaces.
• Able to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Able to communicate via two-way radio.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations (fire, power outage, leaks) and perform repairs as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related systems.
• Maintain building by completing repair and maintenance tasks on equipment and systems.
• Assist with renovations and remodeling projects as assigned.
• Communicate clearly by radio and with team members to coordinate work.

Job Description

Perform repairs and maintenance to air conditioning, furnace, plumbing, electrical, and other related systems. Respond to emergency situations such as fire, power outage, gas or water leak, and the like.

Job Functions

• Physically respond to emergency situations, such as fire, power outage, gas or water leak, or any other emergency situation or repair.
• Perform periodic maintenance to equipment and machinery as outlined in preventative maintenance schedules.
• Maintain building by performing repairs and maintenance to air conditioning, furnace, plumbing, electrical wiring and other related maintenance activities.
• Perform work assignments to complete renovation and remodeling projects.
• Possess knowledge in engineering field to accomplish assignments safely and correctly; generally attained through schooling and work experience.
• Carry and communicate by radio.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior experience in a similar position preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk throughout shift.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and work in confined areas.
• Must be able to safely and effectively use hand and power tools.
• Must be able to carry and communicate by two-way radio.
• Must have excellent communication skills.

Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications
