Qualifications

• Vocational or college education focused on mechanical/electrical work.
• 2–5 years of experience, or 4 years of apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical field.
• Background in building maintenance, electrical work, and HVAC.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, and climb ladders; knowledge of Safety Data Sheets.
• Ability to respond to emergency calls and work with limited time off between peak retail periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on building equipment and the building envelope.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment including HVAC, boilers, generators, vertical transportation, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and dock doors.
• Order maintenance supplies and assist with maintenance expense management and capital planning.
• Maintain or coordinate building energy management systems and support point-of-sale, telephone, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Respond to after-hours and emergency calls and work overtime when required.
