Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Etna, PA offers a two‑year Catalyst rotational program for an Engineer - AI Delivery. You will rotate through AI & Innovation, APX Design Automation & Configuration, and Fuel Engineering Technology, gaining hands‑on AI experience and leadership exposure to multi‑department projects.

Upon completion, you join the AI solutions team to develop AI bricks, agents, and solutions. The program prepares you for strategic impact on global nuclear projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with AI emphasis.
• 0+ years of experience; outstanding academic achievement listed on resume.

• Willingness to relocate for rotations across departments.

About the role:

As an Engineer - AI Delivery you will work with potential leaders within multiple departments with growing responsibility.

You will rotate through several departments at Westinghouse, such as

• AI & Innovation - AI Delivery
• APX Design Automation & Configuration - Software development
• Fuel Engineering Technology - Software development

The intent of the Catalyst Program is to support our growing business, develop leadership, display aspects of being a corporate steward and identify future career interests

You will report to the Senior Staff Application Security Architect, and work a mobile/hybrid role based in Etna, PA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Through a series of rotations, lead project to deliver value across multiple departments or global locations. We achieve this through planning, communication, and teamwork. Meanwhile, gain hands‑on experience and develop an understanding of different departments.
• For each rotation/department, develop an understanding of the strategic direction of the department and the business environment and evaluate how business strategies align with the direction of the business.
• Identify areas of improvement and use and data analysis skills to propose solutions to enhance the efficiency of each rotational department.
• Develop a foundation of leadership.
• Use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced digital technologies to improve Westinghouse products, services, and processes, driving innovation for long‑term operation and new nuclear builds worldwide.
• Collaborate across Westinghouse, bringing AI&I technological know‑how to diverse departments to deliver strategic value and ensure digital transformation across projects.

Program Completion and Career Path

Upon successful completion of the two-year Catalyst rotational program, you will become a permanent member of our AI solutions team. The team member will perform regular tasks such as development of AI technology bricks, agents, and solutions. Additionally, they will use the experience gained through rotations to create strategic impact and ensure long‑term career growth.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science with an emphasis on AI systems and business application alongside fundamental understanding of architectural foundations
• 0+ years experience
• Outstanding academic achievement detailed on resume
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with defined examples listed on resume
• Flexibility to relocate based on the job rotations
• Knowledge of digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI), with the ability to identify and apply these solutions to create value.
• Experience with Java and SQL/Database Design, web‑programming (HTML/JavaScript/CSS). REST APIs, MVC Architecture, and bootstrap helpful
• Business‑oriented mindset to connect technological capabilities with strategic goals and operational needs across the organization.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $80,000 to $85,000 per year.
