Job summary

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Puerto Rico is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair hotel equipment across electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, and HVAC systems. The role requires hands-on work, proactive preventative maintenance, and quick response to guest-related issues on a dynamic, luxury property.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma (college education beneficial) and practical knowledge of building trades.

Qualifications

• Requires working knowledge of general building maintenance.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC and safety systems is preferred.
• On-the-job learning and professional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and repairs to hotel equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating.
• Respond to inquiries and problems in a courteous, efficient manner to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Handle preventative maintenance and update logs; repair motors, starters, breakers and related equipment.
• Respond to emergency conditions such as fires or power failures promptly.
• Assist with energy conservation programs and renovations installations as needed.

About the location:

What you will do:

Provide service and repairs to hotel equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating, and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies.

What you will bring:

• Handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and updateappropriate logs.
• Handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers,chillersand associated equipment throughout the entire building.
• Respond to guest callsregarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or publicarea in a timely manner.
• Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc
• Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages andmaintain an organized department and hotel.
• Complies withFour Seasons’Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth inEmPact.
• Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
• Install orrelocate any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary.
• Assistwith energy conservation programs in the hotel.
• Assistin the installation of electrical and mechanical systems for renovations, outlet additions and associated equipment and electrical set ups for exhibits including maintenance of those set-ups.

Who You Are

• High School Diploma; College Education beneficial
• Experience required by position is from three months to one full year of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organizations.
• Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance.
• Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job or through a series of professional certifications.
• Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment.
• Ability to read and speak and write Englis
