Job summary

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail is seeking an Engineer 1 for a full-time, on-site role. You will maintain hotel facilities, handle electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems, and respond to guest inquiries with professionalism.

Responsibilities include planning and directing engineering workflows while ensuring safety and guest satisfaction. Strong communication and technical skills are essential to support operations in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required; work authorization in the United States.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate computers and basic software.
• Excellent organizational skills and neat work areas.
• Spanish language ability preferred.

Engineer 1

About the role:

This is a full-time year-round on-site position. This role will provide service and repairs to hotel equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating, and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve guest satisfaction. They will plan, organize, control and direct the workflow of the engineering requests.

What you will do:

• Responsible for repairs and maintenance of the building as required by the operation or special projects assigned by Director of Engineering and/or the Assistant Director of Engineering.
• This position may also respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve guest satisfaction.

What you bring:

• Minimum 4 + years previous experience plant maintenance and operation, including chillers, boilers hot water and steam, pumps, softeners, VFD, DB, pool equipment etc.,certifications preferred.
• Requires technical knowledge of general building maintenance including HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical in addition laundry and kitchen equipment knowledge is preferred. Good organizational skills and ability to keep his working areas and storage in neat condition.
• Ability to operate computer equipment.
• This role has direct contact with guests and as such, good communication skills are a necessity.
• Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States.
• Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

Schedule & Hours:

• This is a full-time position.
• A successful candidate will have the ability to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
