Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners, LLC is seeking a qualified Maintenance Engineer to respond to guest requests, perform preventive maintenance, and keep hotel equipment safe and well‑maintained. You’ll work on kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and guest room systems while monitoring water treatment and temperatures.

This role requires 2 years of building maintenance experience, strong repair skills, and the ability to handle emergencies and daily operations with attention to safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent trade school.
• Special courses in building maintenance and construction.
• Two years prior experience in building maintenance and construction.
• Ability to maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry, repair work.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Take water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat the water.
• Operate equipment and monitor hot/cold water systems and electrical switch gears.
• Maintain engineering spaces and conduct rounds to ensure systems work.
• Complete maintenance requests, take readings, and log for next shift.
• Respond to emergencies including fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters and power failures.
• Assist with boiler/chiller operation and temperatures; support parking lot snow removal as needed.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Ensure a safe, resourceful, and well-maintained hotel environment.**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES*** Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.* Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on all hotel equipment, including kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical and guest rooms.* Take water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat the water to maintain predetermined levels of chemical concentration.* Operate various equipment; maintain the domestic hot and cold-water systems and monitor various electrical switch gears to ensure proper operation.* Maintain the cleanliness and general maintenance duties in the engineering spaces as well as other assigned daily operations.* Make rounds of the hotel property to ensure everything is in working order.* Complete maintenance requests, take equipment and meter readings, and maintain log to notify the next shift.* Respond to all emergency situations including fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters and power failures; notify the appropriate authorities.* Handle operation of the boiler and chiller and maintaining temperatures throughout the building.* Assist with maintenance of parking lot and snow removal as needed.* Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES*** High school diploma or equivalent trade school, special courses in building maintenance and construction.* Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry, repair work, construction and renovation work.* Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.* Two years prior experience in building maintenance and construction.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**Lift/Push/Pull/Carry - up to 50 -75 plus lbs. supplies, equipment and machinery. Bending - required to perform inspections and repairs frequently throughout shift. Kneeling- required to perform inspections and repairs frequently throughout shift.
