Job summary

Foretravel in Nacogdoches, TX is seeking a Systems Engineer to integrate, test, and support electromechanical systems for motorhomes. You will help ensure that all project aspects are considered and assist production and service technicians with installation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include drafting schematics, providing technical support, integrating new products, and improving installation efficiency and quality while monitoring BOM usage.

Qualifications

• Associates or better in a related field (electronics, physics, CAD Design, etc.)
• Basic understanding of electricity, circuits, and related hardware
• CAD and drafting; Creo software experience preferred
• Ability to learn software and troubleshoot systems

Position Summary

In charge of integrating, testing, and providing support for electromechanical systems. System engineers ensure that all aspects of a project or system are considered and accounted for. Engineers are expected to provide technical support to production and service technicians in installing and troubleshooting the final product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive and process orders by phone or at the counter
• Operate as shipping clerk
• Assist parts manager and assistant manager in miscellaneous tasks.
• Draft Schematics for systems layouts
• Provide technical support to technicians
• Integrate new and updated products
• Improve installation efficiency and quality
• Monitor motorhome BOM and part usages
• Other duties as needed

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Associates or better in a related field (electronics, physics, CAD Design, etc.), preferred bachelors degree or higher.
• Basic understanding of electricity, circuits, and other related hardware
• Basic understanding of tools used for electronic work; multimeter, oscilloscope, and other related equipment
• Basic understanding of CAD and drafting; preferred experience with Creo software
• Intermediate to expert familiarity with a computer, computer software, and the ability to learn a variety of software, and set up troubleshooting systems.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
• Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
