Job summary

Embassy Suites by Hilton Laredo is seeking a skilled hotel painter/maintenance technician to help preserve the appearance and safety of our property. The role focuses on surface preparation, painting, caulking, and minor repairs across building interiors and exteriors.

You will measure, prepare surfaces, mix colors to match existing finishes, and operate hand tools and rollers. Weekend and holiday availability is required; prior experience in hospitality is a plus.

Qualifications

• Able to perform duties with or without accommodation.
• Able to work in various weather climates.
• Ability to stoop, kneel or bend.
• Lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Color vision to differentiate colors.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Work at heights above 15 feet.
• Experience in drywall repairs, texture, and finishing.
• Experience in hotel/service industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and paint surfaces of the building structure, furniture, and equipment using proper techniques and color matching.
• Measure lengths and assess areas for repair.
• Plaster or spackle surfaces.
• Mix paint colors to match existing finishes and apply with brushes and rollers.
• Install and repair wall and ceiling surfaces throughout the facility.
• Hang vinyl wall coverings of various weights.
• Maintain and repair caulked, grouted, and masonry surfaces.
• Prepare and maintain wood surfaces requiring staining, varnishing, and lacquering appropriate products to water stains and imperfections to develop a finished product from unstained wood or existing finished wood.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

• Hang vinyl wall coverings of various weights
• Maintain and repair caulked, grouted, and masonry surfaces throughout the facility, which requires caulking, grouting, plastering, and setting tiles, cinder block/brink, and cement work
• Prepare and maintain wood surfaces requiring staining, varnishing, and lacquering appropriate products to water stains and imperfections to develop a finished product from unstained wood or existing finished wood
• Performs other job duties as assigned
