Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Engine Systems NPI Team Leader within Advanced Power Technologies in Mossville, IL. The role leads cross-functional teams, drives Time/Cost/Quality commitments, and manages relationships with Power & Energy clients through ABP and RBM cycles.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in engineering, strong program management, planning, and communications skills, and proven leadership to deliver complex NPIs in a power and energy context.

Qualifications

• Planning: ability to contribute to short-, mid-, and long-term planning in support of the business plan.
• Effective communications: transmit, receive, and interpret ideas clearly across teams.
• Problem solving: recognize, anticipate, and resolve operational or process problems.
• Program management: manage related projects within a program to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the NPI process to lead cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain and production support to execute Engine System solutions for Power & Energy applications from program launch through start of production.
• Utilize and champion program management tools and processes to ensure effective program execution.
• Accountable for meeting Time, Cost and Quality commitments to Power & Energy clients in alignment with program goals.
• Main point of contact and manage the relationship between APT and the Power & Energy clients.
• Lead and manage funding from Power & Energy clients throughout yearly budget cycles.
• Develop governance meetings with Power & Energy stakeholders ensuring targets are met.
