Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an Engine Specialist to diagnose, repair, and maintain truck engines and related systems at our Turtle Creek, PA location. You will perform inspections, disassemble and repair engines, and handle preventive maintenance, all while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record for operating commercial vehicles.
• Adhere to local, state and federal vehicular regulations when driving.

Responsibilities

• Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identify worn and damaged parts.
• Overhaul and repair engines or motors; disassemble engines and repair or replace defective parts; reassemble engines and make adjustments as needed; use oxygen-acetylene, oxy-acetylene or similar equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, maintain and repair engines, and oil and lubricate engine and chassis.
• Install timing gears, crankshafts, bearings, cylinders, and drive systems.
• Must have good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Team members are expected to lend assistance in additional areas as necessary under supervisor guidance.
