Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a hands-on Engineer for Engine Performance Development in Dearborn, MI. You will design testing plans to validate fuel economy, performance and durability, and work directly with engine hardware to push engineering boundaries.

You will coordinate with diverse engineering teams, post-process data using MATLAB and AVL Concerto, and develop tools to enhance data analysis and reporting for leadership reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years in automotive industry and engine design or function knowledge.
• Experience in engine testing, combustion data analysis, and engine control calibration.
• Experience with Diesel or Spark Ignited combustion processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee engine testing plans for validation of fuel economy, performance, and durability.
• Coordinate testing with multiple engineering teams and schedule activities.
• Post-process data and prepare analyses using MATLAB and AVL Concerto.
• Present results in technical reports and data summary meetings.
• Develop post-processing tools and bespoke scripts to improve efficiency.
• Prepare test data for cross-functional presentations.
