Job summary

Catalyst24 is seeking an Engine Performance Calibration Engineer for our Auburn Hills, MI site. You will lead dynamometer calibration and development for gasoline engines to optimize performance, fuel economy, and emissions while coordinating with controls, combustion, and software teams.

The role requires extensive hands-on calibration work, data analysis, and robust documentation practices to ensure traceability and release readiness.

Qualifications

• 6-7+ years of engine dynamometer calibration and performance development.
• Strong understanding of combustion, engine controls, and emissions.
• Experience with dyno equipment, emissions systems, and calibration tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine dynamometer calibration and development for gasoline engines.
• Develop and validate base engine calibration datasets for performance, fuel economy, and emissions.
• Calibrate airflow/fuel flow models and spark/cam timing settings.
• Analyze test data and implement calibration improvements.
• Ensure dataset management, version control, and release documentation.
• Collaborate with controls, combustion, emissions, software, and validation teams.
