Job summary

Duncan Aviation in Lincoln, NE seeks an Engine Overhaul Tech I to assist with maintenance, inspection, repair and overhaul of TFE 731 engines and related components under moderate supervision. You will document work per FAA and company procedures, handle technical data, and support engine processes with safe, efficient practices on a variety of aircraft.

High school diploma and two years engine maintenance required, Powerplant certificate needed.

Qualifications

• Powerplant Certificate required; Airframe Certificate preferred; Fork Lift qualified; Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Two years engine maintenance experience required (as per Education & Experience section).
• Regular attendance required; ability to lift up to 50-100 lbs; tolerate extreme temperatures and noise.

Job description

General Summary

The Engine Overhaul Tech I assists with maintenance, inspection, repair, and overhaul primarily on TFE 731 engines, systems, and components, and a variety of other aircraft engines as needed. With moderate supervision, the Tech I performs work in accordance with the engine manufacturer’s specifications, Duncan Aviation approved procedures, and customer specifications, while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. In addition, the position prepares and completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner.

Essential Job Functions

1. With moderate supervision, assists in high quality inspections, servicing and maintenance of aircraft engines, systems, and components on a variety of aircraft engines using proper hand tools in a timely, clean, safe and professional manner with minimal rework. Orders general parts as needed.
2. With moderate supervision, prepares various documents for record keeping purposes, as required by Company policy and FAA regulations (i.e. turnovers, engine process sheets, W.O. Sheets, personal training log, etc.).
3. With assistance, locates and uses appropriate technical data and follows verbal instructions when accomplishing assigned maintenance tasks.
4. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Specific Requirements

Licenses/Certificates: Powerplant Certificate required; Airframe Certificate preferred; Fork Lift qualified; Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; tool inventory per department tool list required

Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required

Physical: Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.; reads small print; hears sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates products, materials and fumes associated with component maintenance; tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting

Environmental: Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and in noisy environments
