Duncan Aviation Lincoln, NE is seeking an Engine Test Cell Tech I to assist with maintenance, inspection, repair, and testing primarily on HTF engines, systems and components. Under moderate supervision, you will follow manufacturer specs and Duncan procedures while keeping a safe, clean work environment and preparing documentation promptly.

Qualifications include Airframe and Powerplant Certificate, forklift qualification, and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in inspections, servicing, maintenance, and testing of aircraft engines, systems, and components with proper hand tools.
  • Prepare various documents for record keeping per Company policy and FAA regulations (e.g., turnovers, engine process sheets, W.O. Sheets).
  • Locate and use appropriate technical data and follow verbal instructions to accomplish maintenance tasks.

Job description

General Summary

The Engine Test Cell Tech I assists with maintenance, inspection, repair, and testing primarily on HTF engines, systems, and components, and a variety of other of aircraft engines as needed. With moderate supervision, the Tech I performs work in accordance with the engine manufacturer’s specifications, Duncan Aviation-approved procedures, and customer specifications, while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. In addition, the position prepares and completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner.


Essential Job Functions


  1. With moderate supervision, assists in high quality inspections, servicing, maintenance, and testing of aircraft engines, systems, and components on a variety of aircraft engines using proper hand tools in a timely, clean, safe and professional manner with minimal rework. Orders general parts as needed.

  2. With moderate supervision, prepares various documents for record keeping purposes, as required by Company policy and FAA regulations (i.e. turnovers, engine process sheets, W.O. Sheets, personal training log, etc.).

  3. With assistance, locates and uses appropriate technical data and follows verbal instructions when accomplishing assigned maintenance tasks.

  4. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.


Job Specific Requirements

Licenses/Certificates: Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required; Fork Lift qualified; Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; tool inventory per department tool list required


Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required


Physical: Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.; reads small print; hears sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates products, materials and fumes associated with component maintenance; tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting


Environmental: Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and in noisy environments


Education and Experience


  • High School graduate or equivalent required

  • Two years engine maintenance experience required
