Job summary

BHE GT&S is seeking engineers from entry to senior levels to optimize reciprocating engines and compressor systems at the White Oaks General Office in Bridgeport, WV. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance across multiple teams.

Ideal candidates will have ABET-accredited degrees, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with engine performance tuning and emissions-control technologies. Relocation assistance may be available based on eligibility.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices.
• Strong planning, project and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and manage multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine mapping, tuning, and optimization activities.
• Evaluate engine and compressor performance using emissions analyzers and diagnostics.
• Support emissions compliance and emissions-reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with Automation & Controls to implement engine control logic and operating parameters.
• Lead engineering and capital projects from concept through commissioning, including budgeting and procurement.
• Participate in design reviews and provide engineering support for emissions-control systems.
