Job summary

Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls, MN is seeking an Engine Systems Development Engineer to advance engine management for snowmobile, off-road and XTV lines. You will drive on-schedule development, ensure thorough testing, and meet cost and emissions targets.

You will develop 2-stroke and 4-stroke combustion concepts, fuel delivery, intake/exhaust integration, and turbocharger applications, while coordinating prototype procurement and validation plans with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a closely-related curriculum.
• Experience with engines and powertrain components preferred.
• Software knowledge: Concerto, INCA/ETAS and Microsoft Office preferred.

• Develop / test Fuel Managements Systems for all products.
• Assist intake/exhaust and combustion development.
• Perform engine/dyno and emissions testing.
• Verify vehicles pass all required compliance testing including emissions regulations.

Arctic Cat is seeking an Engine Systems Development Engineer in Thief River Falls, MN. This individual will be responsible for ensuring engine management systems are developed on schedule, thoroughly tested, achieve cost targets, and meet emissions specifications for snowmobile, off-road, and XTV product lines. Key areas of responsibility include the development of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engine combustion systems, fuel delivery systems, intake and exhaust systems, and turbocharger applications. The ideal candidate will also possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control practices related to engines, fuel systems, and electronic control systems.

Requirements

• Develop / test Fuel Managements Systems for all products.
• Assist in intake system, exhaust and after treatment systems, and engine combustion development
• Perform engine/chassis dyno and emissions testing
• Verify vehicles pass all required compliance testing including emissions regulations.
• Develop Project Timelines and maintain schedules to meet program milestones.
• Coordinate procurement of prototype Fuel Management system components.
• Create appropriate test and validation plans for new and revised designs and monitor to ensure performance that meets or exceed the design requirements.
• Follow product development processes and methods for tracking project status and open issues.
• Identify and implement potential cost savings.
• Stay abreast of latest Fuel Management and Engine developments and new technologies.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive designs, costing, test data, prototype models and product plans.
• Participate in and encourage the highest level of quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
• Support the development of service manuals and part books.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a closely-related curriculum
• Years of Experience: Experience working with engines and powertrain related components preferred.
• Software Knowledge: Engineering Analysis Software (such as Concerto), Microsoft Office Products, and calibration software (such as INCA/ETAS) preferred
• Possess riding and evaluation skills.
