Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required, 10+ years of technical experience in lieu of degree
• 0-2 years with degree, 10+ years of relevant, technical experience without degree
• Microsoft Office Applications, CAD, ERP/MRP preferred
• Able to read part/assembly blueprints and understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred

Responsibilities

• Execute activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for inspection processes and materials.
• Conduct field audits and vendor evaluations and investigate manufacturing or field issues as needed.
• Maintain implemented standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
• Maintain quality assurance objectives to maximize product reliability and minimize defects, field failures, scrap, and rework.
• Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s including parts per million (PPM), line disruptions and days to close non-conforming material tickets (NCMT).
• Facilitate the deployment of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in response to quality issues as well as customer complaints through the coordination of cross-functional teams.
• Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Seek and recommend ways to improve product and process capability based on company metrics.
• Provide technical support and information to other departments, vendors and customers as requested based on data collected from company metrics, vendor metrics and inspection data.
• Be a resource to a small team of Quality Inspectors for assigned area to ensure processes are followed and production is supported, as needed.]
