Job summary

Warren Equipment Company in Oklahoma City seeks an Engine Field Tech II to provide high‑quality repair service on equipment. You will disassemble/assemble components, diagnose problems, and perform engine repairs with minimal supervision while maintaining accurate paperwork and timecards.

The role requires 21+ years old, diesel technology knowledge, and flexibility for shift work, overtime, and travel up to 40%. AAs preferred; safety and business guidelines are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 3–5 years related experience.
• AA in Applied Diesel Technology preferred.
• Knowledge of database software, internet software, manufacturing software and order processing systems.
• Must be at least 21.
• Proficient use of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment.
• Product knowledge of gas, diesel, electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.
• Ability to provide accurate quotes.
• Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work, required overtime and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs to meet flat rate times and re-do metrics.
• Complete related paperwork and access required databases (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, clean and inspect assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Understand and apply CAT reusability guidelines.
• Timely parts and core returns with documentation.
• Perform warranty downloads of ECM.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems; recommend repairs and perform engine repairs and adjustments.
• Test and verify correct operation of repairs and adjustments.
• Apply general failure analysis and procedures for proper diagnosis.
• Accurate and timely service reports and timecards daily.
• Perform engine and component rebuild with limited supervision.

The Engine Field Tech II is responsible for providing high quality repair service on equipment, in order to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or suggest three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• AA in Applied Diesel Technology, preferred.

• Knowledge of database software, internet software, manufacturing software and order processing systems.

• Must be at least 21.

• Proficient use of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment.
