Job summary

Targa Resources Corp. seeks an ES&H Technician – Stack Testing to drive engine emissions testing and testing coordination across assigned areas.

You will collaborate with operations, maintenance and third-party contractors to ensure safe, on-schedule testing that meets air quality regulations. You will gain exposure to engine performance, emissions testing, environmental regulations, and regulatory reporting within a large natural gas gathering and processing system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of field operations or mechanical experience, or equivalent trade school certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and manage multiple tasks.
• Able to climb stairs, ladders, and operate a man-lift; lift 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine and emissions testing on assigned units according to defined schedules and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations personnel to plan engine testing, minimize operational conflicts, and support timely completion of required testing.
• Work with maintenance personnel to diagnose and troubleshoot engine performance and emissions-related issues.
• Manage emissions testing schedules and coordinate third-party testing contractors to help ensure regulatory deadlines are met.
• Provide quality assurance and quality control oversight for third-party testing contractors and testing deliverables.
• Maintain required emissions testing documentation, compliance records, and electronic files.
• Review emissions test reports, engine performance data, calculations, and compliance documentation for technical accuracy, completeness, and consistency with applicable permit and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate testing results, scheduling concerns, and potential compliance issues to appropriate operations, maintenance, and environmental personnel.
• Complete assigned work in a timely manner and perform other tasks as assigned.
