Job summary

Targa Resources Corp. is hiring an ES&H Technician – Stack Testing to perform engine emissions testing and coordinate testing for an assigned area.

The role supports air quality compliance across West Texas and New Mexico and collaborates with operations, maintenance, and third-party contractors to ensure safe, accurate and timely testing that meets regulatory requirements. The position covers multiple sites including Carlsbad, Hobbs, Jal, Andrews, Odessa, Monahans, and Kermit, TX/NM,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• 1 year of field operations or mechanical experience, or equivalent trade school.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine and emissions testing on assigned units per schedule and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations to plan testing and minimize conflicts.
• Troubleshoot engine performance and emissions-related issues.
• Manage testing schedules and coordinate third-party contractors.
• Maintain emissions testing documentation and compliance records.
• Review test reports for accuracy and regulatory alignment.
• Communicate results and scheduling concerns to operations and environmental personnel.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner.
