Job summary

Targa Resources Corp. is seeking an ES&H Technician – Stack Testing to support the Emissions Team in engine emissions testing and testing coordination for West Texas and New Mexico.

The role interacts with operations, maintenance, and third-party testers to ensure safe, accurate, and timely testing in compliance with regulatory requirements. Based in Carlsbad, NM, Hobbs, NM, Jal, NM, Andrews, TX, Odessa, TX, Monahans, TX, and Kermit, TX, this position covers the Delaware Basin Assets and reports

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Interpersonal communication skills required to interface with teams, personnel, and vendors.
• 1 year of field operations or mechanical experience, or equivalent trade school certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds and work in a plant environment.
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and operate a man-lift.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine and emissions testing on assigned units according to schedules and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate testing with maintenance and operations to minimize disruptions and ensure timely completion.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot engine performance and emissions-related issues.
• Manage emissions testing schedules and coordinate third-party contractors to meet deadlines.
• Provide QA/QC oversight for testing deliverables and maintain documentation.
• Review emissions test reports and ensure accuracy and compliance with permits.
• Communicate testing results and scheduling concerns to operations and environmental personnel.
• Complete assigned work in a timely manner and perform other tasks as assigned.
