John Deere is seeking an Engineer, Motor Grader Engine Application / Drivetrain in Davenport, IA. You will update designs, coordinate testing, and support the product line to improve quality and reduce costs, while providing technical leadership on issues across the motor grader family.

This role requires collaboration with engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and suppliers, plus occasional field visits to verify solutions. A strong background in mechanical design and 3D CAD is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with design, testing, and cost reduction goals.
• Strong communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Update product designs and coordinate testing and analysis.
• Support the product line to achieve quality and cost reductions goals.
• Provide technical leadership to identify root cause and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on solutions for production issues.
• Drive projects to improve product quality and cost.
• Work with suppliers to improve quality and durability.
• Provide technical support to marketing, manufacturing, and other teams.
• Occasionally travel to machines in the field for root-cause investigations.
