Job summary

Cummins Inc. seeks an Apprentice Engine Technician to complete diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds in a service workshop under limited supervision.

The role emphasizes adherence to procedures, documentation and safety, with opportunities to develop repair plans alongside experienced technicians. The position involves disassembly/assembly of engines and components, preventative maintenance, and collaboration with a team in an on-site facility with flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician preferred.
• Vocational diploma from a technical institution.
• Locally valid driving permit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow documented procedures to complete complex engine repairs.
• Disassemble, inspect, clean and reassemble engines and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance as needed.
• Document work, time sheets and warranty claims.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.
• Assist with diagnostics and repair plan development.
