Job summary

Blue Origin seeks engineers to advance engine fluid systems through modeling and testing. You will build 1D and off-design models, analyze performance, and support engine testing and upgrades.

Collaborate with design and controls teams to refine models, apply Python/MATLAB tools, and mentor junior engineers. This role is based in Washington state and may involve relocation and travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 2+ years engineering experience; fluid-system modeling experience preferred.
• Familiar with data analysis and anchoring models to test data.

Responsibilities

• Build 1D fluid system models for engine architecture studies.
• Run steady-state and transient models for engines/test articles.
• Support testing and define iterative upgrades to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with design engineers and program leaders on system models.
• Develop analysis processes using Python and MATLAB.
• Mentor junior engineers and share problem-solving approaches.
