Job summary

MDAEdge in Mossville, IL, is seeking an engineer to design, develop and validate electro-mechanical engine control systems for large power engines. You will apply dynamic feedback control theory, perform on-engine testing, and document results.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop MiL simulations in Matlab/Simulink and GT‑Power, and analyze data with CANape, Matlab and Python. A Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics Engineering required.
Professional experience in dynamic feedback control theory for spark-ignited engine control systems preferred.
Experience with MiL and on-engine testing desired.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with process partners to develop engine control system requirements.
Utilize engines and dynamic feedback controls (MIMO, frequency/time domain) to design features.
Develop and maintain MiL simulations using Matlab/Simulink and GT-Power for design and verification.
Analyze and present data using Vector CANape, Matlab, and Python.
Deliver timely, high-quality simulation-driven analyses with clear recommendations.
